Breakfast, lunch and dinner

This week was busy, crazy, stressful, ridiculous, chaotic and of course exhausting but it was also FANTASTIC. The only downer was the yucky sickies that hit me mid week. I've gone through a bag or two of cough drops and exceeded the legal dose of ibuprofen {if that were possible anyway}. I have them every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am pretty much a junky now and need to go to rehab or get on the patch at the least. {While you are reading please feel free to envision my voice sounding like a pig in labor and that I am coughing obnoxiously loud and sparodic right next to you to bring to life the reality of this post... aaaand cue coughing!}

OK ok for real now, I am too deflated to load anything more exciting to show you at the moment but I am super excited to tell you about all the awesome people I met at the events held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I am even more excited to show off the junk in my trunk because let me tell you, I got a big 'ol booty! {as in pirate booty. Sicko!!!}

pause - I know that joke was half dumb and that the other half that was a little funny was maybe not as funny because I am guessing all 3 readers are girls and probably didn't blush when I refereed to my big booty or had false hopes/nightmares about revealing my booty ORRRRR if there is a guy reading this blog {Hi husband!} he most likely didn't know what pirate booty is, so again not funny. *frown. - unpause

So there is a lot to my booty I can't wait to share. I plan to take pictures of my whole booty from all sorts of angles {you know, for artistic effect} and then I am gonna post it online and BLOW YOUR MIND when I tell you how much my booty did not cost. Tee hee he.

OK, I am off to inhale more Ricola and hug my bOoTaY!!!

p.s. I really like the word booty. It would be the cutest nickname if it wasn't offensive. Sometimes I pretend my nickname "boo" is short for "booty". Haha. Ok, someone come over and cut me off.

The end.

I've got my Heart on you...

Here are a few things I am simply sweet on...

A puppy! Preferably a shih tzu like my sisters pup or even something all black like Je Suis. Remember her? *Sniffle. I think about getting a puppy every day but the Mr. is not too keen on the idea. *Frown.

{Look at the face and the fuzzy fur, I NEED her!}

This whimsical toadstool in a terrarium on a ring! It is so Alice in Wonderland which happens to be coming out next week {insert squeal here}! Are you going? I am for sure going and I will be dressing up Tim Burton style to be SURE! You can find this magical ring {HERE}
...and of course my new hat. Ok, I have had it for two weeks and I wear it frequently to hide my shameful grown out usually messy, dirty hair, but it's so lovely it makes me smile. Found at Claire's no less. Dreamy!

Vintage Confection

I'm sweet on these new Vintage Confection appliques I have been making. They take a bit more time and detail and they are a little extravagant but I am in L.O.V.E. !!! Especially with this one. I even made a second one in vintage blue. I think I should make it in every color. What do you think?

You can purchase this one {HERE}

DIY Artwork

New house = enough blank canvas to last a lifetime or make you crazy. I am sure when I get everything done the way I like we will move. Truthfully, the decorating has been slow coming since I have been so busy with work but I had an idea one night and wanted to play so these are some temporary art pieces I did in a jiffy to hold me over for a while.

I just took some basic pictures with a compact digital camera {canon every time baby}. I photographed random items in the room the pictures would be placed in for duplication. {I want my guests to wig out when they think they are seeing double or going crazy. jk.}

I then proceeded to edit the photos in my beloved Photoshop to mimic a canvas painting.
Photobucket

This one is my favorite turn out. I enhanced each image with a grunge like filter to portray brush strokes and age. Old and grungy looking - Check.
Photobucket

I then ordered prints to fit the frames I had on hand {you can buy large prints for literally less than $2}. I made the mistake of ordering the prints on glossy paper... wah wah. So after I cringed at that I put them in refinished picture frames and tried arranging them different ways on the floor until I found the layout I like the most.
Photobucket

Then I measured and marked the wall and hung them like so...
Photobucket

I feel the size of the pictures are too small for that space but I also think something is better than nothing so they get to stay for now. So there you have it. Custom artwork, recycled frames and the coin purse stays fat. If you wanted something custom but not so cheap you could order your image on wrapped canvas from great places like {this}.

In Disarray

Things are very much disarrayed around here and I am in desperate need of an assistant to help with the business side of things! I'm looking for someone 16 or older to work a minimum of 3 days a week. I am flexible and the job is low stress but lots of fun. I'd LOVE to find someone fun and funky who is crazy about all things girly like me. If you are interested you can email me about yourself or submit a resume and feel free to include any links of interest. I would love to start interviews to go over the position details and duties. I'm looking for someone to start immediately! Thanks so much for your help friends.

{This just in: I am considering out of state applicants, the more the merrier.}

This is ily {eye-lee}, named after London's middle name which stands for I Love You. ily was made from the heart to give to London for Christmas. She adds the perfect touch to her bedroom decor. I have a tradition every year where I hand make at least one gift for each child. Making lovely things for girls is always so easy. ily is one of my most favorite dolls I have ever crafted. Give Some, Get Some

I love the Holiday of Hearts {& not just because my husband spoils me}! Here are my top 5 perfect items to give or get this year for Sweet Heart Day {in order by just how fabulous they are}.

1. In my eyes you just can't beat the Limited Edition Alice in Wonderland Palette by Urban Decay. All 16 colors are utterly desirable and fantastically fun! Plus you get the 2 eyeliners and a primer potion as a bonus. My lovely friend Jessi sweetly picked me up this holy grail at Sephora before they sold out. {I have the most amazing friends you can find in the world.} I know if you are able to find one in stores you will have a blast experimenting like me. I might even post some photo's of my new found obsession.

2. Coming in at a close second is Nina Love by Nina Ricci. If you know me you know how much I adored the fragrance Nina by Nina Ricci and I am pleased to say I think Nina Love is even BETTER! I dare you to get to your local cosmetic store to sample it for yourself. You will find me there hoarding the tester but don't worry, I will share.

Photobucket

3. Do you have drama in your closet? I wish I did. I found this dress at the Shabby Apple and I think it's simple but dramatic ways speak for itself. Sigh* I love you Casablanca.

Photobucket

4. Art that sings to your heart over and over again. For me it's this piece by TwistedSummer. I found her on Etsy and I float after her whimsical acrylic paintings. I could stare all day at this one.

Photobucket

5. At the end of the day you can find me in a hot bath. It's my weakness. I gotta have a bath, especially when I am exhausted or sore {from not working out} and the tub is meaningless without a little sugar in the water so I always have a little something sweet by my bath pillow. You can imagine my thoughts when I discovered these Mini Cupcake Bath Bombs by Simply Tempted. Cupcakes and a bath at the same time is all the bliss I need. It just can't go wrong with sugary sweet flavors and the fizzing, bubbly TREATment you'll get from just one cupcake. I'm in awe at how edible they look. Definitely a Whippy Cake favorite!

So there ya have it, My contribution to the holiday.

Also, I will give you a little heads up that I will be giving away a rather LARGE prize {my most generous gift yet} in the near future to one lucky winner. The contest involves Valentines Day and you're darling dear. If you are big celebrators of love, are creative, think you have it what it takes or that your man tops them all you might be featured on my blog and become the lucky winner! Details coming soon along with a video blog update :)

XOXO
