Pink Chandelier Giveaway

O Heavens have Mercy!!! This Giveaway is gonna flip your flops right off!

The Pink Chandelier is giving away FIVE custom Whippy Cake pieces!!! Are you totally FREAKING out?? Wait till you see the ridiculously gorgeous trinkets she is ALSO including in the GRAND prize on Friday. Here are front and back samples of some of her must have creations you can win.

When it comes to The Pink Chandelier there is not much to say... that is usually because one is preoccupied drooling over every endearing piece they create. All of their pendants feature original designs and are soldered by hand and each charm is made with clear beveled glass. On top of that all charms come with a swivel clip so you can easily interchange them with any of our chains and bracelets. And you know how much we Whippy girls like to interchange things. I hesitate in directing you to their site only because I know there will be a discouraged husband or bank account because these lovelies are too dang awesome to just pick one. Can I get an AMEN!?! Judging by the number of times we have featured The Pink Chandelier and how many times she has generously sponsored giveaways here at Whippy Cake annnnnnnnnnd how many pendants and necklaces I am not willing to admit I own, you can most likely guess we are not exaggerating when we say YOU WILL WANT THEM ALL! Check out just a few of their fab options (HERE) to see what I mean.

Here is a little about this talented Lady...

She says she started down a road that was unexpected, not planned and, definitely unknown. All she knew was that she had a head full of ideas that were very different, quarkish, unique and sometimes odd and she couldn't make them go away. It started with sketches in an idea book, a collage of all her crazy thoughts that soon became a reality. After 7 years of being in business, everything bloomed into her own little creation that she loves and just can't seem to get enough of. She now has several lines that range from decor items to sofas to mirrors to custom artwork, and furniture. She also has a list of clients ranging from residential to commercial that she designs for personally to create something they have never seen before and something that cannot be duplicated. In everything She does there is a vintage flair, a mixture of colors and texture, miss matched fabrics and furniture pieces, topped off with a bit of funky, after all Shayce would never be boring...right? She also features new products every month on her website that is her own personal design...so you know that crazy little idea collage book.. yea that's right it comes to life each and every month, offering only the most unique, eclectic funky little finds for your decor pleasure. Shayce also offers a featured item from her total obsessions category every month as well, which is the only category that is not from her own designs. They are just great finds that she doesn't think you should have to live without!!!

Here's a little about Cassi over at Polka Dot...

Her passion for crocheting and creating began as a young girl, as she learned from her talented and patient mother making things like blankets, scarves, and clothes for her dolls.

When her baby boy was born she noticed there was a lack of cute baby boy accessories, so she started to create her own unique little hats and booties for him. She decided to turn her passion into a living soon after, and thus Polka Dot Posh was created in 2009.

Cantaloupe Corner Giveaway

I thought I would start off the giveaways with a BANG. Jenifer from Cantaloupe Corner is sweetly giving away 2 custom Whippy Cake ink-free printed shirts and she is also including 1 custom whippy shirt in our GRAND PRIZE on 7/30/2010! The shirts are a fabulous bright blush color and have a whippy cake logo printed on them. The retail value of each shirt is $26.

I've asked Jenifer to share a little bit about herself and Cantaloupe Corner!

Hi! My name is Jenifer and I am the brains and hands behind Cantaloupe Corner. I make ink-free printed t-shirts and onesies for babies, toddlers, and their beautiful and smart mommies. I am a mother of 2 little boys and I know how important it is to have durable, easy-to-care-for clothing that is safe for our children. With our t-shirts, you never have to worry about lead in the screenprinting ink. All of our items exceed CPSIA standards of being lead free.

We use the highest quality toddler t-shirt blanks. I have tried a dozen other brands and our shirts are by far the best! They are thick and super soft, and will outlast anything your little construction worker, ballerina, or rock star can put them through. Kid tested, Mom Approved!

My very favorite thing to do, (besides tickle wars or story time with my little monsters,) is creating new designs. I have pages and pages of doodles that may someday be transformed into silkscreens. It makes me feel like I'm 7 years old again. And I love seeing the reaction on my boys' faces when I come up with something they really love!

I'm also a craftaholic. So whenever I'm not printing kids clothes, I'm sewing, painting, or glueing, or glittering something else. You can check out our adventures on our blog or on facebook.

Just in time for back-to-school season, we have just added a bunch of new Toddler Girl's t-shirts to our Cantaloupe Corner shop!

My kids already own several Cantaloupe Corner shirts and they are one of my favorite things to give as gifts. If you would like to win your very own, here is what you need to do!

  1. Become a fan & follow Cantaloupe Corner's blog, facebook and/or Twitter.
  2. Become a fan & follow Whippy Cake's blog, facebook and/or Twitter.
  3. Then leave us a comment on this post stating what you like about Cantaloupe Corner.
For extra entries you can blog, tweet and/or facebook about the giveaway and leave a comment with the link! (extra entries only qualify if they have a link)

Our Addiction....

One thing that Becki and I have in common is that we are completely addicted to the show SYTYCD? For those of you who have not yet had the pleasure; "So You Think You Can Dance?" is a dance competition show, and it's a far cry from "Star Search" (those of you old enough to remember.) This show is so much fun to watch I can barely stay seated during the commercial breaks, because I seriously want to get up and dance, just like them! My Hubby, kids, and my BOD are very quick to remind me that I cannot dance, and that I need to sit down before I hurt myself but the show makes me feel like I can!

The show is lot's of fun but it also has a serious side like the following dance choreographed by Mia Michels, one of Becki's favorite artist in the world. It is BEAUTIFUL!

The individuals on the show are some of the most talented dancers in the world! Most of them have only been trained in one genre of dance, and some have never had a lesson. What they do, and how they grow from week to week is completely AhhMazing! And the Choreographers, what they create is nothing short of inspirational! It WILL move you to tears at times... Warning: it is contagious, and quite addictive, believe it or not my very masculine Hubby, and my big burly Football Coach/Cowboy Daddy have also been bitten by this bug!

And let's not forget the hair, makeup and costumes, soo fun to look at! So if you are ever at home on a Summer night with nothing to do, you should check it out! And if you do have something to do, record it! You won't be sorry.

Big Kids Care

I am happy to announce that Whippy Cake has been invited to sponsor another benefit in California. The Event is Big Kids Care and it will be held at the XAI Verandah Lounge in Hollywood on July 21st. I am so excited to participate and contribute to raising money for programs, tutoring, mentoring and more for at risk youth. I'm super hyped about going and raising awareness. Participating in benefits like this is absolutely rewarding and helps me refocus on what is important in life.

The red carpet event has fabulous music, catering and entertainment planned so if you are 21 and older and will be in the area be sure to come out and support the cause! You can find out more information on the event, the celebrity guest attending and other sponsors on the website.

I will of course follow up with pictures and a recap of our experience after the event!

Scatter Sunshine

I get a little frustrated with myself when I get stressed out. Stress takes the skip out of my step if you know what I mean. It often makes me a little subdued or "cranky". I don't like being cranky because I feel like the cranks are contagious and who wants to be responsible for making other people moody? I can't say that I have enjoyed anything that is contagious... except for SMILES of course, which I do like. I try to smile and spread the cheer around, it'd be selfish to keep it to myself it being such a good feeling and all. It surprises me how often I encounter grumpy individuals in the public world. I try not to catch it though and infect them with my wit and charm in return (take that!). I think there's only been like 3 people I couldn't turn but I'll get em' next time. I'm not so understanding when I come across the downer blogs and downer people. Why you would ever intentionally try to make someone feel bad or offended is befuddling to me if I may be so bold to use vocabulary out of my comfort zone. And that's why I don't like being stressed/cranky because there's no scattering of the sunshine. I do appreciate a blessed soul who can turn me though, not an easy thing to do when I am in the thick of it. I'm a lucky one with all the glowing peeps around me to keep me in the cheery notes of life. So this morning I blog to make a commitment to keep my pages cheery and to do my best to inspire a little delight in those who visit, starting with this....

just try and have a bad day after that I DARE you!

New Haircut

I took a risk and cut my hair! Do you like it?

Photobucket

Ok. so I didn't really cut it, it's just in a ponytail. I wish I could go that short but the husband no likey and he no talky to me if I were to cut it that short but a girl can dream.

In other (honest) exciting news my little Lo Lo transitioned into her big bed! Yay! No more sleeping in a pack'n'play in her closet. ( She slept in her closet because it's huge and it is much darker in there, not because we are mean parents.) It's hard to let them grow up (as if I had a choice) but it's exciting to see her mature and become independent. She is going to be the sweetest big sister ever... as soon as the husband gives the ok that is. Anyways, I snapped this picture on my phone when I went to check on her this morning. I could just eat her up!

Photobucket

ps. they are now starting on the finishing touches on the website so not too much longer. We will be announcing the details on the count down and giveaways as soon as we have a specific date! Eeik!
